It will verify what your GFX chip is capable of. You need to test what version of OpenGL is supported. If your HD4600 is working properly you will be able to do everything you want and you won't need the Microsoft driver. What do you see when you go in to Device Manager and click on Display Adapters? Are there any conflicts? The Microsoft driver is nearly 20 years old now though it's tried and tested and works, it hardly supports OpenGL at all. Have you downloaded the graphics driver from this page: For whatever reason, something is not working right. It supports OpenGL up to practically the latest version: 4.3. Good news is the HD4600 should be more than capable.
Steinberg require at least a HD4000 to run their latest software (iirc). It sounds like an OpenGL rendering problem. but for my video recording the only work around i have is to use my laptop witch is a pain to record video with (ergonomy, noise and prots for peripheral needed for that) Thks, really need your help because for the installers i can live with safe mode to install stuff. So anybody knows what i can do next ? to add to the drama, i don't have any slot for a new video card. mcircosft generic driver make the thing work but any intel driver don't let thsoe appss to run smoothly, problem is windows drivers is making the computer experience way less fluid (i would have kept this profile and basta). something wrong with windows 10 and hd 4600, i tried every drivers prior to last one, no way. so i booted in normal, disabled hd 4600 and bingo this is it. Until i tried the good old thing, start in safe mode : bingo it's working. I updated windows with even last facultativ updates, updated garphical drivers (hd 4600 intel), same bullshit.
